You will also bring strong proficiency using lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and digital multimeters (DMMs), along with the ability to interpret hardware schematics.
Additionally, the following skills and background will be highly valued:
- Demonstrated experience performing hardware bring-up and validation from schematic review through system-level integration, including debugging complex embedded systems
- Experience with high-speed video interfaces such as SMPTE 3G-SDI or 12G-SDI, DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI, DVI, or similar high-bandwidth interfaces
- Familiarity with serial communication protocols, including UART, SPI, and I2C, within embedded hardware environments
- Strong understanding of schematic reviews, PCB layout constraints, and hardware debugging using schematics and layout tools, with Cadence experience (asset)
- Knowledge of power measurement, thermal testing, and signal integrity considerations in high-performance embedded systems
- Experience working with environmental and reliability standards, including MIL-STD-810 and environmental cycling chambers (asset)
- Understanding of hardware–software interaction, including firmware-assisted diagnostics and low-level driver validation within embedded platforms
As our ideal candidate, you will possess excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities, along with strong attention to detail and technical communication skills that enable you to clearly document and communicate complex verification findings. You will also demonstrate collaboration, initiative, and curiosity, making you an effective contributor within a fast-paced engineering team.
