Your Mission Brief

WOLF Advanced Technology is on the hunt for a full-time Sr. Engineer, PCB to join our innovative, high-performance engineering team in Aurora, ON (remote work considered for qualified candidates in Canada or the USA).

Reporting to the VP, Engineering, you’ll play a mission-critical role in designing and developing cutting-edge, high-speed printed circuit boards that power mission-critical aerospace and defence systems.

In this high-impact role, you’ll be at the forefront of complex PCB design, collaborating closely with electrical, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to deliver robust, reliable, and manufacturable solutions. Expect a fast-paced, technically challenging environment where your expertise will directly influence the success of advanced aerospace and defense programs.

As Sr. Engineer, PCB at WOLF, you might…

  • Design and develop complex, high-layer-count PCBs: Create high-speed, multi-layer boards (10–18 layers) optimized for aerospace and defense applications
  • Optimize for performance and manufacturability: Select materials, board stack-ups, and layouts to maximize signal integrity, power distribution, and production efficiency
  • Drive high-speed interface excellence: Implement controlled impedance routing for PCIe GEN4, DDR4, GDDR6, 100GbE, DisplayPort, and 12G-SDI
  • Engineer for reliability under extreme conditions: Apply EMI/EMC best practices, termination techniques, and crosstalk mitigation to meet mission-critical standards
  • Collaborate across disciplines: Work closely with mechanical, manufacturing, and NPI teams to ensure seamless integration and production readiness
  • Mentor and guide: Provide technical leadership and peer reviews to strengthen design quality and elevate team capabilities
  • Leverage advanced tools for precision: Utilize Cadence Allegro (17.4, 22.1, 23.1) to create, maintain, and refine symbol and footprint libraries
  • Champion DFM/DFA principles: Ensure every design meets manufacturing cost, quality, and scalability requirements

Join WOLF and take your PCB expertise to the next level, driving the technology behind mission-critical systems that protect and empower defense and aerospace operations worldwide

Your Edge

You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience), with 5+ years of high-speed, high-layer-count PCB design experience in aerospace, defense, or similarly complex environments. You’ve designed 10–18 layer boards with controlled impedance routing, integrated HDI and rigid-flex solutions, and placed high pin-count BGAs while optimizing for both performance and manufacturability.

Your PCB expertise extends to selecting board materials and stack-ups, running power and signal integrity analysis, and applying EMI/EMC mitigation techniques to ensure designs meet stringent industry standards. You’re fluent in Cadence Allegro (17.4, 22.1, 23.1) and maintain symbol and footprint libraries with precision. You understand the full product lifecycle, from concept through prototyping, testing, and production support, and you know how to troubleshoot issues quickly and effectively.

You collaborate seamlessly with electrical, mechanical, and manufacturing teams, integrating DFM/DFA principles early in the design process to improve yield and reduce cost. Whether mentoring junior designers, peer-reviewing layouts, or solving complex routing challenges, you take ownership of delivering designs that perform flawlessly in the most demanding conditions. You’re also fully eligible to work under CGP and ITAR regulations, recognizing the critical role compliance plays in defense-grade manufacturing.

If you thrive in a high-tech, high-stakes environment where your work directly supports mission-critical outcomes, you’ll feel right at home with the pack.
