Your Mission Brief

WOLF Advanced Technology is on the hunt for a full-time Chief Engineering Officer to lead our engineering organization in Aurora, ON. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, you’ll play a mission-critical role in uniting engineering teams, driving technical excellence, and ensuring on-time, profitable delivery of next-generation aerospace and defence solutions.

This is a newly created executive position that will bring together WOLF’s engineering divisions under one leader. You’ll set the standard for collaboration and accountability, while ensuring our highly technical teams are aligned, resourced, and empowered to deliver breakthrough innovation in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.

As Chief Engineering Officer at WOLF, you might…

  • Unify engineering leadership: Align VP-level engineering groups under a single vision and resolve cross-unit challenges to keep programs on track
  • Drive profitable innovation: Own the engineering P&L and balance cost-to-value trade-offs to maximize both performance and margins

You hold a Master’s or Ph.D. in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or related field), with 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in aerospace, defence, or high-tech industries. You have led complex engineering organizations, balancing technical credibility with executive presence. Your career shows the ability to unify teams, earn respect from senior technical leaders, and guide engineering groups through growth, transformation, and mission-critical delivery.

You thrive in fast-paced, high-stakes environments where both innovation and discipline matter. Comfortable operating at the C-suite level, you combine sharp business acumen with an engineer’s mindset, ensuring profitable outcomes while advancing technical excellence. You bring the ability to listen, collaborate, and respectfully push back while keeping engineering teams aligned and accountable.

What You Bring

  • Proven success driving P&L ownership, resource allocation, and portfolio profitability in engineering organizations
  • Deep understanding of engineering methodologies and processes, from design reviews and risk governance to integration and compliance
  • Strong background in industry frameworks and regulations, including AS9100D, ITAR/EAR, and SOSA/MOSA/CMOSS
  • Track record of leading senior-level engineering talent, developing career paths, and fostering retention and growth
  • Expertise in digital transformation, with experience implementing model-based systems engineering, digital twins, and agile practices
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence, align, and inspire stakeholders across the organization
