Your Mission Brief
WOLF is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Firmware Engineer (new graduate) to join our special projects team. This role is ideal for a recent or upcoming graduate with a strong foundation in electrical engineering and an interest in firmware and FPGA development. Exposure to Xilinx FPGA development and broadcast video systems is highly valued.
You will work closely with experienced engineers to support ongoing projects, contribute to design and development activities, and grow your technical expertise in embedded and FPGA-based systems, you will also:
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams on ongoing development projects, providing technical support and insight
- Support senior engineers in firmware and hardware development activities
- Take ownership of assigned tasks and projects, delivering results with minimal supervision
- Assist in the design, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical and embedded systems
- Develop and analyze electrical schematics and circuit designs
- Write, test, and optimize code in C, C++, and Python for embedded system functionality
- Gain hands-on experience in FPGA programming, particularly with Xilinx platforms
- Contribute to debugging and performance optimization efforts
- Maintain effective working relationships with peers, colleagues, and management
- Document work clearly and communicate technical information effectively
Your Edge
You are a motivated and detail-oriented recent or upcoming graduate in Electrical Engineering with a strong foundation in embedded systems, circuit design, and programming in C, C++, and Python. You bring exposure to FPGA development, ideally with Xilinx tools, and a working knowledge of HDL, with broadcast video experience considered a strong asset. You are also a proactive learner with strong problem-solving abilities, capable of managing multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy. You can communicate clearly, collaborate effectively within a team, and demonstrate the initiative to take ownership of tasks while continuing to build your technical expertise. Adaptable and eager to grow, you thrive in a fast-paced environment and are willing to go the extra mile to support project success.
